Leftovers & Food Safety
Providing quality, safe food is our highest priority. University Catering makes sure that hot and cold foods are kept within safe temperature ranges. To protect your health and prevent foodborne illness from occurring, the catering staff is required to remove all perishable foods from the event within two hours of the start of the event. The client is responsible for removing any desired leftovers at the end of the scheduled event time.
Any perishable food left at room temperature for more than two hours should be discarded. Non-perishable items (baked goods, fruit, etc.) may be taken at your discretion. However, arrangements must be made by the client as we do not provide to-go containers. Caterer makes no guarantees to the safety, wholesomeness, or compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations of foods that are not consumed immediately at the time of service. Any foods that are not immediately consumed at the time of service and are packaged or otherwise removed for later consumption (“Leftover Foods”) are the sole responsibility of the client.
The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Caterer and its employees, representatives, and directors (individually, an “Indemnitee”) from all actions, suits, claims, demands, proceedings, judgments, damages, losses, debts, liabilities, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, resulting from:
Our platters, baskets and other equipment are the property of Chartwells and may not be removed from the event. Any missing equipment will be billed to the host of the event.
